The King of Swords

King of Swords

The king of swords sits on a throne decorated with several images of a butterfly and located above the tree line in a high altitude.  His throne has no armrests, yet he holds the sword, the symbol of his realm (suit) easily in his right hand.  His left hand is empty; there is no scepter; it rests easily at his side.  His gaze is straight ahead.  His right foot is positioned slightly forward, so he is ready to move, ready to take decisive action.

This king has risen above conflict and is about to move on.  All the internal and external changes have finished taking place, and he can see with clear eyes, a clear mind, and a new resolve.  If this card appears in your reading, it means that you have earned the right to be in charge and dictate what the next move will be.  You have used the sword to cut through all the confusion and conflict and are ready to render a decision.  The timing is right for you to take charge and say, “O.K. that’s enough; this is what we’re going to do; this is how it will be.”  It is because you say so.
