3-Card Reading for T.H.

Judgement    Ten of Swords    Nine of Wands                                             The Fool

T.H. has submitted the above cards for interpretation.  The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit.  Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or a clarifier.  Although there are no two-or-more-of-a kind here in suit and/or number until we get to the summary, T.H. has shared that she asked for insight into whatever would be most helpful for her to know at this time, a wonderful open-ended request.

The spotlight has been on Judgement, the false perception that a choice must be made between helping oneself and helping others.  In truth, one action, either one, results in both outcomes.  All consciousness is tied together, and creation is limitless, so T.H.’s happiness, prosperity, and success is never going to cost someone else unhappiness, poverty, and/or failure.  There is always an abundance of goodness available and no need for martyrs. (See an earlier blog on getting Stuck at the Power Level).  The note that comes from the angel’s horn is one of love, and ALL creatures respond to it.

The spotlight is now on the ten of swords, a card of discernment.  T.H. has every intention of bringing a blessing (see the figure’s right hand) into the situation that is active at this time.  The only question that must be considered is whether the situation needs and wants the blessing that T.H. has to offer.  Failure to use discernment here may result in being stabbed in the back by the very people T.H. thought she was helping.  Even though these are psychological swords and will evaporate, T.H. would be well-served to assess the needs of the situation before charging into it and unleashing all she has to give.  This is also a caution against unrealistic expectations.  Before any action at this time, T.H. is being asked to make sure that whatever she has to give will be received in the spirit with which it is offered.  If there is any significant doubt, she is to “pick up her toys and go play elsewhere.”

The spotlight is moving toward the nine of wands, wisdom and higher understanding of one’s skills and talents.  There is no doubt that T.H. has worked long and hard to develop her skills and talents, and she has claimed more than a few.  It seems, however, that she is leaning heavily and exclusively on one in particular and has moved the others to the background.  This has resulted in injury and left her in a somewhat defensive position.  This card frequently appears when the seeker has put all her/his “eggs in one basket.”  T.H. is not being told to abandon what she has been employing but to incorporate one or two of the “lesser” skills that she has available as well.  This will make her position much more stable and secure.

The summary card is the Fool, which represents a leap of faith.  It is only by taking the next step that T.H. can be assured that the universe supports her efforts, and she can follow her dream.  After seeing that she is not the only one who will benefit from it but taking the needs of the situation into consideration, ready to make use of more of her skills and talents, that she can move ahead and soar.  Go for it, T.H.!

Does this make sense?  I hope it was helpful.  For more information on using tarot cards for insight and information, see http://www.tarotforalltime.com    Thank you.
