3-Card Reading for S.O.

Seven of Pentacles   Ace of Pentacles   The Chariot                                              Nine of Cups

S.O. has submitted the above cards for interpretation.  The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit.  Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or a clarifier.  Since two out of the first three are pentacles, it is safe to say that this reading focuses on values, priorities, and work.  Since there are also two sevens, there is also a focus on facing the unknown, the sacred, and the secret.

The spotlight has been on the seven of pentacles, the nostalgia card.  S.O. has been waxing sentimental and nostalgic in her/his focus on the past and how much better/easier/simpler it seemed to be.  This energy investment is not helpful and may, indeed, be somewhat distorted.  It must be used to motivate and inspire the work needed in the present.  Whatever efforts were put into making the large plant on the left thrive can and should be applied now to the small growth at the gardener’s feet.  The advice to “be here now” is sound and steady.

The spotlight is now on the ace of pentacles, a triumph of integrity.  This card tells S.O. that (s)he has achieved the highest level of embodying and living her/his values.  The way (s)he conducts her/his life is an inspiration to any who choose to lift their eyes and see it.

The spotlight is moving toward the Chariot, which speaks of abandoning the vehicle that has served its purpose but is no longer of use.  It urges S.O. to get “unstuck” by considering a new way to get where (s)he wants to go.  This may be a new job, a new relationship, and/or a new attitude/motivation.  Remember that the definition of insanity is continuing to repeat the exact same thing that does not work and expecting different results.

The summary card is the nine of cups, another reminder that action is required at this time.  S.O. has accumulated a veritable wealth of feelings, emotions, relationships, and psychic abilities but is keeping them on display and not in use.  It is time for S.O. to take one or more of these down from the shelf and put it/them into play.  This should be a joyous experience, the next logical step on the path of least resistance.  Good luck, S.O..

Does this make sense?  I hope it was helpful.  To read more about using tarot cards for insight and information, please see http://www.tarotforalltime.com   Thank you.
