3-Card Reading for R.G.

R.G. has submitted the above cards for interpretation.  The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit.  Then, the fourth card is drawn as a summary or clarifier.  Since two out of the first three are knights, it is safe to say that this reading focuses on the 12=1+2=3 quality of the knights where the action taken rests solidly on the choices already made and results in an expression of how the knight views her/his role.

The spotlight has been on the knight of swords, a scattering of one’s energies.  R.G., you have heard that the castle is under attack and have raced to its defense before making sure the rumors are true and without a sound strategy for meeting the challenge if it does exist.  First, defending the castle does not rest solely on your shoulders, so before heading out, it would be a wise plan to assess both the threat and the resources available to meet it.  Also, ask yourself if your life needs a new and more meaningful focus before you exhaust yourself expending all your energy in this way on this mission.

The spotlight is now on the knight of pentacles, even further clarification that there is much more to the journey than you had previously thought.  By allowing the light of your values to lead you, R.G., you realize that you have only reached a temporary stop.  You have the ability to effect a positive outcome on the present situation and then ride on to follow your own path.

The spotlight is moving toward Death, the need to let die that which has outlived its purpose in order to make room for the new. This is a necessary step on your journey.  It is appropriate to express gratitude to whomever or whatever has enabled you to reach this point in your journey, to bless it, and release it.  The sun is already rising on the new day which will see your role altered.

The summary card is the ace of wands, the triumph of taking back the power to lead your own life.  This card shows up when you have “paid your dues” and are now free to do what you think is best for yourself.  The good news is that your taking charge of your own life enables blessings to fall into many others’ lives as well.  Good luck, R.G..
