3-Card Reading for F.G.

F.G. has submitted the above cards for interpretation.  The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit.  Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or clarifier.  Since two out of the first three are 10’s, which reduces to a one (1+0=1), and the summary card is also a one, the focus of this reading is on F.G.’s leading, controlling, and directing her/his life.

The spotlight has been on the knight of swords, scattering one’s energies.  F.G. has taken on the responsibility of protecting the castle, so when (s)he hears there might be a threat outside, (s)he responds in haste and puts all her/his energies into patrolling the grounds at full speed.  This effort will soon exhaust both the horse and rider.  It would behoove her/him to find out if the threat is real and, if so, how best to respond.  Also, to scrutinize whether protecting the castle is her/his responsibility alone or even if this job belongs to her/him.  Focus and perspective are needed so the energy expenditure will be appropriate and productive.

The spotlight is now on the ten of cups, using discernment in selecting those who will be treated as “family,”  specifically those who will be invited to share in the blessings, profits, accomplishments, and benefits held by one or more of its members.  Sharing secrets and intimacy is another area that requires discernment.  There are things about you, F.G., that nobody else needs to know, information that is to remain private.

The spotlight is moving toward the ten of wands, another card that speaks of discernment.  You are a multi-talented individual, F.G., and you need to guard against trying to present ALL your skills and talents at one time.  As you can see from the picture, trying to do this slows you down, feels like a burden, and focuses your attention only on the immediate path before you.  The advice of the card is to pick one or two of your skills and talents to lead with, bundle the rest (they will always be available to you), tuck the bundle under your arm, and proceed at a faster pace with greater balance and control.

The summary card is the ace of pentacles, a triumph of integrity, the ability to “walk your talk,” and serve as a shining example to others if they are willing to look up.  This is what it means to be an uplifter, and the reading emphasizes some necessary steps toward that goal.  Focus and discernment are key at this time, F.G..  Good luck; you have much to offer.
