3-Card Reading for G.F.

G.F. has submitted the above cards for interpretation.  The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit.  Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or clarifier.  Since there are two wands in the first group of three, it is safe to say that this reading focuses on G.F.’s skills and talents.  It isn’t until we get to the summary card that we have two 4’s when the influence of the basis and/or foundation of the situation becomes apparent in G.F.’s desire to remain safe.

The spotlight has been on the ace of wands, the triumph of taking hold of the power to lead your own life.  Congratulations, G.F., this is quite an accomplishment.  It means you have risen above outside influences, other people’s opinions and/or judgments, all the reasons why not, and even your own fears of both failure and success.  You have expanded your definition of reality, and your doing this has precipitated blessings that fall all around you.

The spotlight is now on the seven of wands, so you must guard against falling back into old habits and allowing defensiveness to become, once again, your default behavior.  If you are defensive, it means you have given away your power again.  Overcoming this means becoming super-aware of any signals of discomfort that your body sends you, for the body will react immediately before the mind completely processes what’s going on.  As a dear friend recently remarked, “When you’re making excuses and/or protecting yourself, you are not in balance; you are not in your truth.  Ask yourself, ‘Is this true, or am I trying to make myself feel better?'”  Just a brief pause before a response can save you hours of agony, anger, guilt, and regret.

The spotlight is moving toward the Emperor, the gift of wisdom.  As in the story of King Solomon and the two women each claiming to be the mother of the same infant, when Solomon announced, “Cut the child in half,”  the reaction to that decree showed everyone present where the truth lay.  You may say and do some pretty outrageous things, G.F., and this enables you to remain in power as the truth presents itself without your taking sides.

The summary card is the four of swords, withdrawing from conflict to remain safe.  This is consistent with the rest of the reading, which encourages you, G.F.,  to rise above any conflict by seeing the unity that connects the two parts and eliminating competition.  This is certainly crucial to taking back your power and standing in your truth.  Please know that the triumph of the ace of wands will be supported by your following the suggestions in the reading and not buying into anyone else’s opinion of you.  Keep going.

Does this make sense?  I hope it was helpful.  For more information on using tarot for insights and guidance, please see http://www.tarotforalltime.com  Thank you.
