3-Card Reading for C.F.

C.F. has submitted the above cards for interpretation.  The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit.  Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or a clarifier.  Since two out of the first three are 5’s (the king counts as a five, 14=1+4=5), this reading is focused on choosing and freedom.

The spotlight has been on C.F.’s moving very slowly and carefully so as not to make a mistake.  This degree of caution is excessive and is an impediment to progress.  The advice of the card is, “Resource is always at hand.”  If the contents of the cup are spilled, the nearby stream is available to refill it.  The larger message is that to be human is to make mistakes and, hopefully, to learn from them.  It’s time to lighten up, C.F., and give yourself some slack to move gracefully and easily ahead.  The knights represent the full-blown expression of the seeker’s journey toward mastery.  You’re on your way to becoming an expert, a master, of feelings, emotions, relationships, and psychic abilities.  Stop worrying and keep going.

The spotlight is now on the king of wands, having achieved mastery in the area of your skills and talents.  You are at the top of your game, C.F., and others are aware of your abilities.  The only downside to this is that there are those who will always be motivated to challenge your position and be jealous of your accomplishments.  You can rise above any temptation to engage with them.

The spotlight is moving toward the Hierophant, sometimes called the High Priest, who represents the Gift of Intuition.  You have access to the secrets of the universe, and sometimes, in an effort to be of service and healing, you tell too much.  This card appears in your reading to tell you to guard your words.  Your intuition is strong and true, and the more you learn to rely on it, the stronger it will become.  Please remember that nobody else needs or deserves to know everything that you know.  Choose your words carefully and limit them to those that will best benefit your audience.  Then, when you speak, your words will be a blessing to those who hear them.

The summary card is the two of swords, guarding against being hurt the way you were a long time ago.  Once again, this level of defensiveness is excessive and has hijacked your energy.  Put down at least one of the swords, remove the blindfold, and see the situation for what it really is.  Then, you can move with confidence in the direction you choose.  I feel this reading has come to you, C.F., at a moment when you are assessing what the next logical step is in a particular relationship where you may have experienced hurt in the past.  All indications are positive if you will heed the advice of the cards.

Does this make sense?  I hope it was helpful.  For more information on using tarot cards for guidance and insight, please see http://www.tarotforalltime.com  and consider purchasing the book Tarot for All Time, available in paperback, e-book, and downloadable PDF format.  Thank you.
