D.V. has requested an interpretation of the above cards in this mini-reading. The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit. Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or clarifier. Since two out of the first three cards are cups, it is safe to say that this reading focuses on feelings, emotions, relationships, and psychic abilities. Also, the fourth card is a member of the Major Arcana, so there is some connection to D.V.’s soul’s agenda, the list of things D.V. has selected to encounter and master in this lifetime.
The spotlight has been on the queen of cups, a signal of repressed and/or blocked emotions. D.V. is a very feeling person and in touch with her/his feelings and emotions, but there are a group of those (usually labeled “negative”) that (s)he is keeping covered because of a concern for what might happen were they to be released/expressed. This choice, conscious or not, is keeping her/him stuck, so (s)he needs to find a safe way to lift the lid and see what’s there, process it, and move on. Here’s where I usually recommend Dr. Bradley Nelson’s Emotion Code-TM- coupled with Theta Healing to resolve this issue. Remember, you can only heal what you are willing to feel.
The spotlight is now on the eight of cups, being dissatisfied with “what is,” and looking to find and/or add more. Turning your back on what you have is not a good idea. Through the universal Law of Attraction, that which is fed expands and grows. If you focus on what you DON’T want, you will attract more lack. To aid and abet the flow, a focus on what you are grateful to have will serve you better. This card usually appears when the seeker is taking things too personally. A shift in focus is strongly recommended.
The spotlight is moving toward the ten of swords, a card of discernment. It is the position of the central figure’s right hand that holds the significance here. He entered the situation to bring it a blessing, but he forgot to pause on the threshold and determine if the situation needed and/or wanted the blessing he was ready to impart. The swords that are pictured are psychological in nature and will evaporate. The red color comes from his cape; it is not blood. D.V., this card is a clear warning. Before you give your money, time, experience, opinion, or share your gifts and talents with anyone, make sure it/they will be received in the spirit with which it/they are offered. If. for any reason you believe that is not the case, please pick up your toys and go play somewhere else. This will avoid a lot of heartache.
The summary card is the Empress, unlimited creativity. This is one of the gifts from Spirit that is yours, D.V.. It is a gift you have taken for granted your whole life because you think everyone can do this–not true. You are versatile and innovative. This gift usually comes with a delicious sense of humor, and you can be quite the entertainer. It seems the overall message of the reading is to value yourself and your gifts enough not to just give them all away. Good luck, D.V.
